Hello and Happy Spring!

I have written several newsletters over the past several months, and none seemed right to send out, so I offer my sincere apologies. So much has been going on here at home, not to mention abroad, that my work sometimes has to take a back seat. I am a wife and mother first, a businesswoman second - something which I'm sure many of you will identify with!

But at last, I have a good reason to send out a message - we have a new website! My lovely husband has been working on my site and virtually nothing else for the last month or so, and the result is Fabulous!! I think you'll agree! He's added lots of new ideas, some cosmetic and some administrative, but overall I really love the new look and features. We've added a Sale page, (because we all love a bargain!), and the long-awaited Class Schedule, as well as examples of how to use the stencils - which is my favourite bit of the new site! (apart from the checkerboard border!) It helps to see what they'll look like when you're choosing. We had toyed with the idea of an actual "mini movie" of a stencil demonstration, but decided against it since it would take an absolute age to download, and who wants to wait for that? Eats into valuable stitching time!

We know this has been a long time coming (both the new site and the delayed newsletter), so thanks so much for your patience.

I'm looking forward to Malvern next week (how did it creep up so quickly?!), and we've lots of new patterns for you to choose from as well as a couple of new books. I have also added a few new stencils from a different range and they have a marvellous feel to them - completely different to Country Stencils - it's apples and oranges really, so no point in comparing! Our stand at Malvern will be in the Marquee again, turn left once you come down the ramp, and we're the 2nd stand in, next to Jan Jefferson's Amish quilts!

Lastly, I have an exciting new project I'm planning. I'd like to compile a cookbook of Favourite British Quilter's Recopies - there are so many American recipe books, and we have some fabulous cooks over here - let's wow them with what we can do! (Bulldog cookery - hmmmmm, doesn't quite have the right ring, does it?!? Maybe Anglophile Delight, nope, not very good either! I'll have to work on that...) So, if you'd like to be included, contact me (email, snail mail or phone) and let's share our wealth of cooking knowledge! Doesn't have to be traditional, could be something you make for special occasions, or even better, a quick recipe which allows for more sewing time, less kitchen time! That's the only type of cooking I seem to do these days! I look forward to hearing from you.

Before you log off, check out the Sale pages - I've had a real spring clean and put tons of things on sale, so bag a bargain before they're all gone! Some patterns are at silly prices (only £1)!! I've also decided not to stock any cross stitch patterns in future, so every one of them is on sale - grab them quick!

Happy sewing, and hope to see you at Malvern!
Lynn
