Hello everyone and happy spring!

Or perhaps I should say 'Happy Soggy Spring'! The good news about the rain is that you've more time to stay inside sewing and not feel guilty about not weeding the garden, and the bad news about the rain is that you've more weeds in the garden when you eventually do get out there! However, I've noticed they pull out ever so easily when the ground's soaked. My husband keeps reminding me I need only do 30 minutes a day to keep on top of it. I'm sure that's true, and I always feel better for doing some, but the sewing urge is always stronger!

So! Onto the subject at hand, namely, What's New!??! Well, TONS!!! I've been searching and searching and have found lots of new patterns about which we are very excited! Best of all, we've found three new designers whom I've never seen before - we hope you love their work as much as we do! There isn't room on the what's new page of the website to list every single new pattern, but I've tried to put one or two from each designer on there so you get a feel - if you like it, go to the pattern pages for more! We have traditional quilts from Primitive Pieces by Lynda (yummy and old-fashioned and big!), some very sweet stitcheries combined with a little quilting from FriendFolks (happy, friendly sayings), craft patterns for several seasons from Tea Thyme (unusual, fun and quick to make), and some darling little doll patterns from Wendy's Cottonthread Cottage (even a bunny doll in a dress).

For the Diane Phalen fans out there, we have a new range of her cards, all sold individually so there's no need to buy a whole box if you only want one. Also, a couple of new Rebecca Barker cards.

Some new stencils from Country Stencils have arrived: a Willow Tree, a Shaker Tree and some Daisies to go with her range of other flowers. We've also been working hard on the samples feature of the website, so there are more samples than before - have a browse to see what's new. We haven't yet got samples for every stencil we sell, but there is only me doing it so I add a bit more when I can! We're working on it. Have a look at the new pastel coloured tote bags - pink or yellow - they're sort of A4 sized, great for gift-giving and perfect for decorating with stencils.

We are also very excited about some new gift items - yummy scented candles in little crocks with fabulous quilting designs printed on them and a sponge ware feeling around the top. Priced at £4.75 and packaged in a clear box with a homespun bow, they are a perfect gift, or something for your sewing room! If you are a fan of Jo Colam's jewellery, she has some new designs - handbags and teapots (not together, of course!) They are accented with beads and are very fun! Some things appear on the What's New page, for others you'll need to look at the Gift and Jewellery pages.

Now, the Malvern quilt show is just over a week away --Yippee!! As you can imagine I am working flat out with pricing, sewing samples, making card samples, etc, so I may not have time to get to the post office with your orders. I WILL, however, put your selections on one side and post them all on my return from Malvern, and will notify you by email if we're out of stock on something. Some of the new things are so gorgeous I know we'll sell out, so if you can't make it to the quilt show, then let me know what you'd like, or order using the secure site and I'll save it for you, even though it wont' be posted out until after the 17th. Let me know if you have a desperate crafting need and can't wait until then! I'll be packing up on the 11th and leaving on the 12th and so won't be answering mail or phone after the 12th until I return on the 17th.

I think that's about it - thanks for reading this far, hope it's made you smile and hope to see you on the site or at Malvern!

Happy sewing!

Bye for now,
Lynn
