Hello and nearly Happy Christmas!

I know I say the same thing every year, but how does Christmas creep up on us so quickly? Then it's always rush rush rush and things left undone. This year I actually thought it'd be different. HAH!! I picked up the flu while running sewing club at my son's school, and was in bed for a whole week - like that's convenient this time of year!! So, apologies for leaving it late to write to you...

In any event, most of what's left undone doesn't matter. Most of the stress is all self-generated, since we always seem to set the bar so high for ourselves. As my wise sister always says, "But nobody knows that you were planning to trim the whole garden in white fairy lights/ make 12 dozen mince pies from scratch/ photograph a custom Christmas scene with the children and dog as wise men/ hand-make all 67 of your Christmas cards - only you know you wanted it that way." She's right, so I've stopped worrying about it.

In case you're working to deadline as well, I just wanted to let you know that there are plenty of Christmas craft items still in stock, including little knitted stockings and tiny Christmas charms.

I also have BROWN BAGS IN STOCK!!! The lovely twisted-rope handled brown gift bags for decorating with stencils or whatever you like are here - the same ones which flew out the door at the NEC Hobbycrafts show. They are 50p
each or 10 for £4 - great bargain when you consider decorated totes in the High Street cost £3-£4.

Also, Reindeer Rollcall patterns are back in stock! If you visited our stand at the NEC and loved the comical reindeer quilt, the pattern is here now - there's still time to stitch a bit before Christmas! And the "circles of felt" option instead of French Knots for noses means you could make it in time - I'm doing one for a gift for this Christmas. Like most stitchers and crafters, I'll be burning the midnight oil!

Whatever stage you're at now, here's hoping you have a lovely Christmas and your family is healthy and happy.

Happy Sewing and speak in the new year!

Lynn
